I tried this out as an experiment a few months ago and I was quite happy with the results. You could serve this as an appetizer or as side to your dinner dish.
Step 1: Brown the ground beef; drain; follow directions for cooking on the taco seasoning packet. (I made the entire 1 pound of beef but only used a small portion of it for the taco puffs. I saved the rest for tacos later in the week.)
Step 2: Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees. Roll out the crescent rolls and fill with a little bit of the taco meat and top with cheddar cheese.
Step 3: Roll into a crescent like shape and tuck all of the ends in to keep the meat inside.
Step 4: Heat in your oven for 11-13 minutes until golden brown. Watch carefully to see when they are finished.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
YUM! I just love crescent rolls and this is a fun and simple way to make a delicious appetizer.
I hope you enjoy,
